Static Phase Converter does not produce true three phase power.

A static phase converter does not convert one-phase power to three-phase power like the rotary phase converter. The static phase converters work by changing discharging capacitors for a few seconds during the startup of your electric motors.

Because they do not produce true three-phase power, it is guaranteed that a static phase converter will do a poor job of balancing the voltages on the motor. Because of this, it also reduces the life of your equipment through voltage and current imbalances. Also, static phase converters produce harmonics that pollute the power grid and damaged your equipment. They can not be used on sensitive equipment and cannot operate more than one piece of equipment at a time.

Static phase converters work well if you have one piece of equipment and if you are a small business or home owner with a welder or grinder that needs three-phase power.  Many people still buy static phase converters because they are economical and many manufacturers still recommend them.

We recommend spending the extra investment on a true, rotary phase converter because, in the long run, a rotary phase converter will pay for itself. Static phase converters have a short operational life and wear out more quickly, sometimes in a year.  Rotary phase converters will last from 10 to 50 years depending on its demands. You also have to calculated the cost of any damage it does to your equipment, and remember, static phase converters will also wear out your equipment faster.  The extra maintenance time and downtime you or your business experiences calculates in lost revenue.

Ace Phase Converter a leader in manufactuing a true Rotary Phase Converter

ACE Phase Converters are the leaders in  producing a quality rotary phase converter.  They use only quality materials, and their rotary phase converters generate three phase electricity with an active hybrid generator.  They have been producing phase converters for over 25 years and offer the best warranty in the industry. A word of caution, there are many manufacturers that call their phase converters, "rotary phase converters," but they are really static converters with electrical motors.

A true, three phase rotary converter offers an affordable, versatile solution for supplying three phase power.  A rotary phase converter can operate more than one piece of equipment.  Some of the applications for a rotary phase converters include:

  • Agricultural Equipment - Dryers, augers, balers, grain dry fans, irrigation pumps.
  • Air-Conditioning  and Refrigeration Equipment - Ice makers, ice cream makers.
  • Food Processing Equipment - Ovens, mixers, grinders, graters.
  • Machine Tools - Welders, lathes, grinders, CNC machines, saws.
  • Medical and Electronic Equipment - X-ray equipment, lasers.
